PET Wins Contract to Build Sample MEA’s

August 01, 2006, Miamisburg, Ohio –

Precision Energy and Technology (PET) has been awarded a contract to provide 14 sample MEAs for test and evaluation by The Ashlawn Group in Alexandria, VA. These MEAs will be used in the building of a fuel cell stack which will be utilized in a specific DOD application. This application of fuel cells is a unique niche area that requires greater reliability than the current battery application.

Thomas Willis, President of Precision Energy and Technology, says “PET is focused on manufacturing and providing engineering development for manufacturing. Because of our strengths in these areas and our ability to provide high volume MEAs with our production equipment, we were selected to initially provide these sample parts. This evaluation will allow The Ashlawn Group to move into high volume production in the near future with PET as a proven source for the MEA.”
